GUIDO VILLA-GÓMEZ LOMA, es un portal web dirigido a aquellos interesados en acercarse a la VIDA y a la OBRA del profesor chuquisaqueño Guido Villa-Gómez Loma (1917-1968).
Es un homenaje que su familia le rinde no únicamente al padre ejemplar y al abuelo imaginado y amado, sino también al maestro, pedagogo, ensayista, poeta, investigador y líder sindical del magisterio boliviano, quien en noviembre de 2017 hubiera cumplido cien años de vida y en mayo de 1968 –hace cincuenta años– muriera, dejando un importante y significativo legado intelectual y un gran ejemplo de sabiduría, talento e integridad humana.
Habiendo fallecido en una etapa de importante producción intelectual, víctima de una fatal enfermedad y sumido en una de sus más notables cualidades, la humildad, no alcanzó a imaginar que una parte importante de su obra sería recogida y también publicada por familiares, amigos, medios de comunicación e instituciones que supieron valorar la riqueza de sus aportes. Sin embargo, textos dispersos y, en algunos casos, inconclusos, -elaborados a mano y a máquina- permanecieron archivados por muchos años, convirtiéndose en víctimas del tiempo que, sin piedad, se empeñó en desdibujar la tinta de los más valiosos escritos.
Un porcentaje importante de aquel material inédito, además del previamente publicado, pudo ser rescatado, seleccionado, clasificado y ordenado tras un arduo trabajo de sistematización y digitalización, y hoy se encuentra disponible en este portal de lectura y consulta. Se trata, pues, de una especie de biblioteca virtual donde reposa, gracias a las bondades de la tecnología, un pedazo de la VIDA y de la OBRA de Guido Villa-Gómez Loma para beneficio de estudiantes, maestros, pedagogos, investigadores, historiadores, escritores y amigos…
En el Centenario de su nacimiento en la Ciudad Blanca y al conmemorar Cincuenta Años de su irreparable partida, sus hijos y nietos podemos afirmar, con alegría y satisfacción, que el legado pedagógico y literario de Guido Villa-Gómez L. se encuentra disponible como una herramienta a tomarse en cuenta en los intentos de incidir positivamente en la realidad educativa y social de la que fuera su Patria amada: Bolivia.
